We are most happy to invite you to attend the 20th International Conference on Higher Education (I.C.H.E.), which will be hosted by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Bangi, near Kuala Lumpur, on August 21-24, 2008.   The theme this year will be “The Role of the University as a Bridge between Civilizations.” 

In Malaysia the role of universities will be addressed in shaping an integrated world community as the universities prepare their students for 'global leadership,' 'a wise society,' and 'responsibility for ecological survival,' three intertwined dimensions of the academic contribution to a sustainable future.
