Ankara tours included in social program for registered
companions 27 August 2005 (Full Day) The
City Tour departs at 9:30 a.m. We will first visit the Mausoleum of Atatürk
this magnificent structure serves as a tribute to the founder of modern
Turkey. The next stop is the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, which is
located in a restored bazaar. The Museum has a most unique and priceless
collection dating back to the Prehistoric era. Silversmith shopping. We will
also visit the citadel for a view, and take lunch in a typical Turkish
restaurant. After lunch the tour will go on with the copper bazaar, and old
bazaar. After this we leave the
old part of the city and visit the new face of Ankara.
Return to hotel at 5:30 p.m. The
tour starts at 9:00 a.m. Hacı
Bayram mosque, Augustus temple, Roman baths, Çengelhan-Rahmi Koç Museum
and carpet shopping. Tour
finishes at 1:00 p.m. in the Bilkent Hotel. FULL DAY
with Lunch 28 August 2005 (Half Day) The
tour starts at 9:00 a.m. Hacı
Bayram mosque, Augustus temple, Roman baths, Çengelhan-Rahmi Koç Museum
and carpet shopping. Tour
finishes at 1:00 p.m. in the Bilkent Hotel.
